1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GolfZeal (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including players, organization directors, and administrators.
2. Description of Service
GolfZeal is a tournament management platform that enables golf organizations to manage players, track handicaps, organize tournaments, and record game scores. The Service is provided “as is” and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at our discretion.
3. User Accounts
To use GolfZeal, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Ensuring that information you provide is accurate and current.
Accounts may be created through direct registration or via an invitation from an administrator or organization director. Director accounts require administrator approval before access is granted.
4. User Roles and Access
GolfZeal has three user roles with different permissions:
- Players: Can view their own profile, scores, and game history.
- Directors: Can manage organizations, players, courses, and tournaments within their scope.
- Administrators: Have full access to manage the platform, users, and all data.
You agree to use the platform only within the permissions granted by your assigned role and not to attempt to access data or features beyond your authorization.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
- Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate player or score data.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful files.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written consent.
6. Player Data
Organization directors may create and manage player profiles on behalf of their organization members. Directors are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent to enter and manage player personal information. All player data handling is subject to our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
The GolfZeal platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by GolfZeal and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you upload (such as profile photos). By uploading content, you grant us a license to store and display it as part of the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GolfZeal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, incorrect handicap calculations, or tournament result errors.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice in the application. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
